Habilitation Habilitation Exam
Please contact the Dean's Office (Habilitation Office) well in advance before submitting the documents for your habilitation exam. The deadlines for submitting applications for admission to the habilitation exam to the habilitation committee can be found on the habilitation committee's website.
Application for Admission to the Habilitation Exam
The nine documents to be submitted are numbered (1 to 9) as PDF documents and must be sent exclusively electronically via download link (preferably via heiBOX) to dekanat@verkult.uni-heidelberg.de.
However, four hard copies of the habilitation thesis must also be submitted by post (Hauspost is also possible) to the Dean's Office (Habilitation Office) using the following adress: Dekanat der Fakultät für Verhaltens- und Empirische Kulturwissenschaften, Habilitationsbüro, Voßstr. 2, Gebäude 4370, 1. OG, 69115 Heidelberg, Germany. Please note: Habilitation theses can NOT be dropped directly into the mailbox outside of the Dean's Office.

- Complete list of publications
- Form: overview of taught courses (available in German in the download area)
- Teaching evaluations from students
- Form: proposed assessors (available in German in the download area)
- Habilitation thesis (hardcopy: four printed copies)
Please note: The content and formatting of the printed and electronic versions have to be exactly the same. If the habilitation thesis is cumulative, it has to contain the encapsulating framework as well as all the papers. - Short abstracts for the three presentation topics (approximately one page including references per topic). The topics should not significantly overlap and they should not derive from the topic of the habilitation thesis.
